The Cenotaph, a monument in central London to commemorate those who fought in World War 1 & World War 2. The name means "Empty tomb" and depicts a sarcophagus atop a stone column. the pillar is adorned with wreaths and engravings marking the start and ends of WW1* & WW2 in Numerals as well as the text "The Glorious Dead" on the North & South Face.

The model depicts the cenotaph in its modern condition as it has been since 1946, with the dates of both world wars engraved in Roman numerals*. The model includes a set of flagpole finials, the poles themselves are made of wire. 

*The engraving "MCMXIX" (1919) refers to the date of the cenotaphs unveiling, rather than the year WW1 ended (1918), and is how the engraving appears on the monument.


The Model is designed to the model railway HO / OO scale (1:87 - 1:76).

      Do they come painted and assembled?
      All of our products are unpainted. The figures are mostly single piece; there are a small number that require minor assembly for example wagons or cannons usually require assembly

      These recommendations are for our resin parts only. We cannot guarantee they will work for parts purchased from other vendors.

      - Wash all parts with water and liquid detergent (do not soak)
      - We not recommend hand soap as some have been identified to have lotions in their ingredients and that will interact with primer and paint.
      - Let air dry, away from direct sunlight
      - Sand as preferred to remove layer lines and support bumps
      - Fill pinholes as needed
      - Repeat the wash process
      - Primer is recommended
      - Use your choice of paint

      * If any parts are warped, the hot/cold water trick will help bend back to shape. Attempting to bend back into shape without warm-hot water may cause the parts to snap. 

      • It’s rare but if parts feel tacky it’s ok. After washing, and only after completely dry, set in the sun for 5-7 minutes.
